We kindly invite you to view the art exhibition "Flight into the Universe" by folk artist and journalist Vilija Čiapaitė at the library.
Radiating light from the very depths of the universe in V. Čiapaitė's color mosaic compositions spontaneously transforms into flowers that resemble visions. Visions of goodness and beauty that shine somewhere in the depths of the soul sometimes hide fearfully when we open our black Pandora's boxes. But the dark thunderous clouds disperse and flowers, dreams, aspirations, faith and hope bloom again.
Viija's ability to enjoy the world is fascinating, to turn the wheel of eternal return to goodness, truth, joy and love, to the aspiration to be here and now, to live with open eyes and see what we need, gives us bliss and paints life with transparent colors.
We are the artists of our lives – that's probably what Vilija would say. The masters of our own universe, the directors, able to listen to the sounds resonating in the soul, creating beautiful and blissful music. Music from the very core of being.
The folk artist and journalist studied drawing at the then Kalvarija B. Pušinys Secondary School. She has published the books "He Promised to Return", "Myths and Legends of the Prienai Region and Birštonas. Mythical Creatures", and has illustrated many books. Exhibitions have taken place in Birštonas, Prienai, Naujoji Ūta, Veiveriai, Šilavots, Pakuonas, Šakiai district, Alytus, Kaunas and elsewhere. Vilija is guided by a restless talent.
