Nordic Literature Week "Freedom in the Nordic Countries"

This year's theme "Freedom in the Nordic countries" is associated with the historical date of Iceland - the 80th anniversary of independence and focuses on Iceland, its rich literary heritage and cultural contribution to the Nordic community.
The initiative invites us to reflect and discuss what freedom is, what it means to people, how it is embodied and explored in literature, how we can together strengthen freedom and community in our societies.
This year it is recommended to read excerpts from the book "Volcano" by Ran Flygenring, the book "60 Kilograms of Sunlight" by Hallgrimur Helgason, the fairy tale "Baldr, Son of the Shadow".
