We invite you to the presentation of the fifth collection of poetry, "Advento valasnes", which enriches the literary work of prose writer and poet Janina Survilaitė. This is the 19th book by the writer, who cherishes various genres.

The experiences of the Advent hours are the testimonies of a creator who has experienced and suffered a lot, living far from his homeland Lithuania, but who has not lost his historical memory.

The Advent state deepens longing in the consciousness of a loving person. Time matures the transformation of all soul searches. This collection of lyrics is not only the latest, but also the most prominent autobiographical poems of the poetess or their variations published previously.

"This book wishes its readers, despite the most difficult trials and the sheer frenzy of pre-Christmas darkness, not only to yearn, but also to truly become and be children of light" (Writer Arvydas Genys).

During the event, you will see an excerpt from the film "Garden of Eden", created based on the works of Janina Survilaitė. You will meet literary critic and editor Janina Riškute, actress Gražina Urbonaitė, and head of the publishing house "Andrena" Nijole Petrošienė. You will listen to music by students of the Birštonas Art School.
