Sports Photography Exhibition "Paris Paralympic Games 2024"
about
Starting April 10, Birštonas residents and city guests will have the opportunity to see 12 of the most emotional shots by photographer Vytautas Dranginis, which capture the performances of Lithuanian Paralympians at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.
"The Paralympic movement is more than a sport, and the Paralympic Games are more than a sporting event. This is a celebration of will, determination, human strength, openness and tolerance for each other. A celebration where everyone is a winner, because they have already overcome the greatest barriers in their lives - they have overcome disability. Let these moments, immortalized in photographs, inspire pride in our country and its athletes, let their emotions become a source of inspiration for everyone who needs support to walk the path of life more firmly," says Mindaugas Bilius, President of the Lithuanian Paralympic Committee and Paralympic champion.
"The exhibition's arrival in Birštonas was initiated by an old friend of the Paralympic movement, Rotarian Deividas Jakuntavičius, who is also a professional future coach, doing an internship at the Lithuanian Paralympic Committee. In hosting the exhibition, we were greatly assisted by the head of the Birštonas Sports Centre, Giedrius Gustas. We are very grateful to Giedrius and Deividas for the cooperation and opportunities," said Donatas Gribauskas, Head of Communication Projects at the Lithuanian Paralympic Committee.
The exhibition will delight Birštonas and city guests for more than a month - until mid-May.
