Matiesioni mound

The mound was found in 2014. The mound is surrounded by two connecting deep ditches of small streams that dry up in summer. The western part slid into the ditch. The mound square is quadrangular. 10 m. length and 9 m wide. The site is surrounded on all sides by embankments, which in some places reach a height of 2 m and a width of 14 m, lower and bend at the ends, forming only 1 m in height and 4-4.5 m in width. In places, the embankment is significantly shifted and overgrown with spruce. At the foot of the embankment there are square terraces-pitches. The slopes of the mound are steep 10-12 m high, overgrown with spruces. It is already a tradition on July 6th. sing the anthem on the mound. Here the residents of the nearest neighborhood gather.
People say ... The mountain is called "Bobo" mountain. The woman who lived nearby grazed goats and would not let anything on the mountain, saying, "Here is my mountain." When the goats took home, the young people of the village settled down to play games, but it didn’t bother for long. The woman, noticing the players, immediately introduced herself with a stick and drove everyone away. This is how the mountain was called "Bobo" mountain.
