Salt forest

The salt forest is of state importance, on the left bank of the Nemunas, in front of Birštonas. Area 492 ha, forested 421 ha. The surface is an elevated, sometimes undulating plain formed in one of the great loops of the Nemunas. The first Lithuanian forest where summer settlements were started.
